Day 30~ Favorite ice cream flavor

31 Mar

I can’t believe we’re almost done with March’s blog challenge . As I sit in the car driving to Port Charlotte, I am wishing for ice cream. But since we are on non-stop drive, I figured I’d write about it and complete today’s challenge.

My favorite ice cream flavor growing up was chocolate chip ice cream. I used to eat in a wafer cone (never sugar cone, not a fan of it) or in cup with chocolate jimmies (for my friends who aren’t from RI, you call them sprinkles). My nana would always tell me that I made ice cream look so delicious as I ate it. And I used to eat it at least 4 times a week when I was a kid. It was no surprise when I got a job at a local ice cream shop in my hometown in the summer. It was probably one of my favorite jobs. I made awesome tips, worked with my friends and could eat all the ice cream that I wanted.

As I have gotten older, I started to change it up when I would go to an ice cream shop. Chocolate and vanilla twist (soft serve) with chocolate jimmies has now become a weakness of mine. I would also order it in a wafer cone or a dish.

Whenever I get the chance to have ice cream, I do. It’s not nearly as much as when I was growing up but there is nothing better than on a hot summer day and driving to a local ice cream shop. It’s a summer past time that every one should do no matter how old you are.

I can’t wait for my first cone!!

What’s your favorite ice cream flavor??
